Cutting a windshield!!!????

    pardon my french, but **** YES!

    so jeroma (jeremy james) not jeffrey, anyways we cut my windshield tonight and it turned out stellar!!! I also cut down my stainless and we got the rubber abound the window but didnt have a rope to install the window with so tomorrow if all goes well I will have a beautiful crack free windshield installed in my chopped fiddy fo.

    damn I cant tell you guys how increadibly stoked I am!

    and seriously guys a HUGE thank you to all that helped with info and moral support!!!

    Did you use the grinder/cutoff wheel?

    yes I did but I used a diamond tipped tile cut off wheel.just made a p***, flipped made another. repeat...

    I also used an electric grinder and a spray bottle full of water

    with a few practice runs on the side gl*** of a 58 Cadillac, we had a little bit of a clue as to what different approaches would do to the gl***. We tried a few different cutters, but the norton diamond cutting wheel from Harbor freight worked awesome. Then a flapper wheel on the rest of it to bevel the edges to get rid of any sharp edges.
    I had a blast helping del with this last night..... But that's probably because it wasn't my windshield!

    learning how to do new stuff is awesome!
