cutting up a Zip's riser?

I just bought a Zip's water pump riser and I do not need the air conditioner bracket that is built into it, Is there any problem cutting off this unwanted bracket?

 

No, many folks have done it. I am leaving mine to start with just in case......................

I wish I would have left it on now because I'm thinking about air.
But I have another one a friend gave me so I'm in good shape.

 

I saw the ***le and thought this thread was going to be about a reduction in height. Seen a few cars where an in between size would be ideal.
