Cutting up one to build another

By the length of the hood, trim on the hood sides and the ornament, I believe this is an 8 cylinder Hudson ch***is converted for fire department compe***ions. It is not the shorter wheelbase Terraplane 6 cylinder.

I'm making out "........ LI, NY" for some place on Long Island, New York. It is probably still in some carriage house out there.
