I am designing a set of Motor mounts for my Model T Update, and i am wondering where you all are getting your bushings, the ones that are like 2" long that go into a 1.25 Tube? I see speedway has them in like a custom kit with everything for a SBC, but all i need are the short pieces of tube with the bushings in them.
i use these http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=BUSHDOM they will see just the bushings if you have DOM to make your own sleeve for them.
thanks, i use lots of their supplies on customers projects. ruff stuff is a small shop and they have never let me down when i order parts.
Yeah, great link! I've been looking for those interlocking tube attachment pieces and that's a great price on them!
You might want to know that those bushings are a type of plastic, not the good neoprene rubber--enough said
not sure if there the right diamensions for you but i used a set of bushings from a brand new shock absorber that i only had one of,also cut the tubes off the ends also
I use Chevy truck leaf spring bushings. Most parts stores have the poly replacements, but the OE rubber works fine, too.
Try Energy Suspension. High quality Urethane bushings for tons of applications and universal bushing sets as well. Summit and Jeg's are both dealers. I built all of my 4-link links using their bushings. http://energysuspension.com/
