Does anyone have or know of a good source for history and tech. info on a vintage D.O. HAL ? A good buddy of mine just bought one and so far info seems to be real scarce. Anything anyone can suggest would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Gary....
secrets of speed magazine...I'm pretty sure has had some stuff on hals..check their page..there's a bunch of stuff ... love to see it any pics?
Tell him to contact Kem Robertson of Huntsville, AL. Kem has been researching the history of ALL the historic banger (Head) builders: Hal, Fronty, Gallivan, Roof, Miller-Schofield, Dreyer, etc. He has accumulated more info on the products and the producers than you could imagine. Someday it will all be available in a book but in the meantime He can probably answer most questions or direct him to those who can. His e-mail is frontyAF16@aol.com.
It's a HAL on B block. I will pass all of this info onto my buddy. No pics , I have no knowledge of how to do that. Maybe I can convince him to have his son put some on here later. Thank you all for the info we really appreciate it.
There were at least 3 different 2-cam Hal's made, all were good. Hal was the most prolific 2-cammer made back in the day, and would hold there own against Offies on the short tracks. There is one currently running Bonneville in a roadster although he has done a lot of internal work on it.
