    Alright guys and gals,

I have a dilemma of sorts.... There are a couple of guys that are entering the autorama “extreme”, they wonder if they could be in the hamb section, they are period correct cars.

The first is Lynn Stringers “Kalamazoo” 5-window, which was a rod in K-zoo in the early days.

The other is Paul Becks roadster! A period (‘57) Deuce roadster.

So, I have would have no trouble telling these guys to get there own space. I cannot give them an answer with out asking those who will be there.

    Give ‘em to me,
    HRD

I don't see a problem at all. Paul Beck is a bud of many, many HAMB folks and if he had the time I'm sure he'd hang out here and share his knowledge and if your cool with the other guy, why not. The more the merrier. I have turned in all the HAMB applications already to Dennis Scott so just have them write HAMB member on the top and Dennis said he'd put any of the others that might arrive, with us. There is no deadline late fee but once the show is filled, its filled, so have them send in their apps asap.

I would agree with skate fink. Have we all lost our individuality, I guess the HAMB has become a fraternity or something now. Didn't know someone need to ask to become a member.

Guys like Paul Beck have enough history to do what he wants.

Nobody said it's manditory. I just think it's a good way for HAMBers to identify themselves to others. If ya don't want to participate in that don't.

.........sorry for the confusion. The "cheesy" quote was "hotroddrummer's" I thought it funny that he thought a HAMB sign was "cheesy" yet wanted to invite friends to hang out in the HAMB area. Personally, I am proud to be a part of the HAMB and think it is a NEAT idea to identify the group....... no big deal, just want to clear up the confusion......

Well damn I did it again, I spoke to soon....or is it, I spoke. :D hehe

This morning after reading the comments and talking to my Dad, I know I was wrong to say the sign thing is cheesy. It’s not cheesy.
Some people are more serious than others when it comes to this place. I love this place, on here everyday but obviously alittle more laid back then most.
At first I thought the banner would detract from the cars, I was wrong.

Talking to my Dad helps, and it happens alot, he liked the idea of the banner because it say’s “okay, here is a GROUP of people with the same mind set (or relatively close) when it comes to building thier cars. And these people have a community (the Hamb) in which they share their ideas and throw out their opinions and help eachother along the way. It’s basicly a “club”, or “gang” and most clubs take pride in them and display a banner. So, I retracked my statement and fall back in line.

And the deal with the other cars, nevermind, Lynn was asked by one of the cat’s putting it on if he wanted his car in our section, not me! Paul was just wondering.
So, this is what will happen for those who care. Paul’s roadster, Lynn’s five window, and Regret will have their own section and I’ll put the 52 in the Hamb section. That way, my Dad (not a hamber) Paul (his best friend, also not a Hamber) and Lynn (a restorer for crying out load) will not get in the way, and that is fine...... sorry I even opened my mouth, doesn’t happen often on here and this is why.
    PEACE,
    HRD

Oh, and never take a word I say seriously, I have a very dry sarcastic tone :p

........aw man.......we're just trying to toughen you up. You have nothing to be sorry for. It's easy to read the written word and pick it apart. When you know someone, you understand where they're coming from. I'M sorry about starting this ****. ANYBODY that is into the "HAMB style" vehicles (and this is just MY humble opinion..) would be welcomed by the group. I vote Denise in charge and I doubt that she has ever met anyone that she didn't get along with??
Watch out for the old, fat bald guy with the "Skate Fink" tat.......come up and smack me in the back of the head and introduce yourself........;)
