I did not know what section to post this in so I chose hot rods

Daddy put a Rocket olds with shaved heads, put ball bearings in the lifters to make them solid

Mercury rear end, juice brakes, O/D 3 speed with slave cylinder to accuate clutch

Reground cam, dual exhaust ......it was light and walked away from most of the hi po cars in the 50s

Hardly none had an arc welder back then, everything was gas welding

We lived around ranches and farms and Daddy welded many a trailer with a gas welder

Someone a few years ago asked me to post a pic of Daddys Vicky, we finally found a pic

    Papa bought the car new

After Daddy came home from the pacific in WWII, Papa said take the car, I aint gonna drive it no more, I bought a newer one

Thats my older Sis and me in the pic

He modified the 32 every year or so

Daddy turned 100 last year, the Avatar pic is when he was around 85

Wow! What a great picture and story. I’d love to hear more. Did he build other cars or just this one? Thanks for sharing!!

Daddy more than a few older cars from mostly gutted cars

He had a 40 Ford coupe he modified most everything, a 40 convertible lincoln he put an olds engine in

He said a lot of the V-12s would crap out, I think I still have the intake from the V-12 and some interior dash/console pieces

There was Ford, cant remember what year, was real young .. with a rumple seat Daddy would take us to a burger stand or get ice cream on weekends, I got to ride in the rumple sest ....

He currently has a 1970 LTD 4 door, with a 351 Windsor and around 33,000 miles
    He turned 100 last December

I will post some pics of his earlier cars he had when he came home from the South Pacific after WW II
    is any one is interested
