Our club did a late Father's Day show on Tuesday at a local Care Center. These retractable hardtops usually blow their minds and this is a nice one. A show at these places gives you a reality check that you have NO problems.

Yeah, count your blessings. Lots of the old folks like the old cars.

Yeah, ditto. We really have no problems. Good on you and your club for doing that show. I try to get my wife to let me bring her to her VA appointments in my '57 sometimes for the same reason......it's the right age group for sure.

Our club as done these types of things in the past, we recently visited a ***isted care complex to visit with a fellow club member who's health was failing, it turned into a unplanned opportune car show for the residents.

We had brought our cookout equipment to enjoy a afternoon with a fellow club member but seeing how a good number of residents were so interested in see & talking to use we decided to make a run to the nearest grocery store and buy more hamburgers, hot dogs and buns.

I know the residents loved it but we may have been the real winners in sharing our love of old cars with the people who are unable to drive anymore.

Sadly, just a couple of months after our visit our fellow club member p***ed away and a good many of our club members went back to Georgia this past weekend to say our goodbyes. HRP
