Dad's merc does anyone remember it?

anyone remember this car from north jersey in the early 60's? was sold in about 1964 or so, never seen again. this is the most distinct feature '54 dodge grille. never seen another in a merc before. Would love to try to find out what might of happened to it. It was sold with a smashed left rear 1/4 panel. Anyone remeber?

cool merc, the grille looks right at home in there..hope you find some info on it. tracking stuff down is hard sometimes, im looking for my pops 39 ariel, with no luck so far. hope mack has some info for ya good luck to ya!!
