rain or shine, cold or hot, it dont matter to me,i get out every day ,have more miles than the space shuttle on it !
I drive my 1965 Chevy II every day, rain or shine. It is all original and has approx. 28k original miles on it. I bought it with 15k on it. It's my little creme puff. The car drives like a dream so why not drive it. After all, that is why I bought it!
I know it's not real old, but this was my daily driver until I was broadsided about 8 years ago. Drove it rain, shine and even light snow. But if it snowed over 3 inches the truck's crossmember would just act as a snow plow and I couldn't move. Now I just can't get motivated anymore to get my other truck done. 35 Ford. I do a little here and then a little there. .
my 65 chevy belair lowridin kustom on astros is my daily right now, I rotate as I get new ones. I have never been let down in the 65 in 2 years, 230 ci six with powerglide. The flame throwers keep away tailgaters too.
this was my daily driver untill brake problems cause me to park it for a little while. 57 chevy truck 350/350 camaro suspension.
Hey seymour your daily 53 Ford, what are the cool pointed tail light lenses from? My son is looking for a pair but I do not know what they are or where to get them!
My '49 Merc was my daily driver, til I put a whole in the oil pan. It'll be drivin daily again after I fix it.
my 65 buick wildcat, everyday sept for the last week, blew a rear axle bearing.Should have her back on the road in the next couple days.
I have been driving my 1953 Plymouth Belvedere with the flathead 217 and 6 volt system. Bias ply tires and a case of oil in my trunk Will be take off the road when i get my Flathead 230 back from the machine shop and redo the electrical and brakes.
I just sold this today, but this was a couple weeks ago when it snowed while I was at work. Man, those firestone's tread fills with snow and then it's a whippy windy-go nowere fast drive home! My 41 sedan will be the new daily driver (cept maybe in the snow)
Driven every day, my 1966 Jeep Gladiator 3/4ton 4x4. She's my parts hauler, shop truck and even hauls my camper (got an early 70's Roam-A-Bout that looks perfect on it) Got a Buick 350 in it and it runs great, good on gas and more than enough power. Shawn
Does he need nice ones or just drivers?? The ones in the pic are '56 Olds 88s... Fusick sells them new, but they're high.
This Poncho should get my daily for the next years... It has only a 235 straight6 engine, but I'm a student and the engine is for the every morning downtown traffic jam ok...
my daily is a '50 chevy truck. just got backfrom a 600 mile road trip and gunna put another 300 or so on it next week.
I'll post some more pics later, I have some bigger whitwalls and am right in the middle of installing new gl*** in it...what a pain. The engine is a 59AB with a Winfield SU-1A cam, adjustable lifters, and headers. Pretty stock other than that, I just got it on the road last month. I am going to install my 2 1/2" dropped axle, reverse eyed spring, lowering shackles, and removing a couple springs. Hoping to get a 5-6 drop on it. I'll post more pics later for you. Thanks for the comments
I drive my hot rod or custom everyday, when I have one. seems like everytime I get one done and start enjoying, a good trade comes along and turns into a project or someone makes me a big offer and I sell it. So I just keep building. Later, Michael
