Engineering Thursday - yesterday and today, we had the pleasure of Bertie “Bert the Rod” Hopkinson’s company with the new engine for the new Robin Read Racing Top fuel dragster. If the old car wasn’t impressive enough, the new is incredible. This little 2.5 litre Daimler hemi v8 has already got the old car to 199mph in the quarter, and the aim is for over 200mph. We’ve helped line-bore the cam bores using tooling made by Bertie.
