Larry's car is way nicer than that. But that is a nice car too, not quite my color.

I bought my '38 from Jerry. He was finishing up a purple Deuce roadster when I went to get mine. Anyone have shots of that car? It was an old PA hot rod.

The 5wd is cool...... would love it more in gloss black.

I saw that car at my friend's shop before the restoration started..
It was cool to see in it's unrestored state..the remains of the color were similar to the coupe..
When i first read this post, that car came to mind but i never did get a chance to see it before it went back to Jerry.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

I don't like it when someone tries to match the vinyl interior with a previously painted car. It never is dead on, it's always a close second. But other than the color, I think it is spot on!

Speaking of parting with perfection, isn't that your car 3WLarry, in the latest Hemmings ?

  9. Same here, and its the reason why I ran with a flaked T&R interior job on my 3W !! I LOVE that car AND the colour !!! I think if anything, the stance could use a rewok and even though its running 16x7.50s on the rear, it no way fills up that rear wheel arch the way it should.

  11. To save some others a bit of "deja vu"!

    As per above:

Doesn't actually do much for me....somehow looks like a bit of a cliche. Kinda has that "built in the late 80s to look like it was built in the 50s" look. Possibly the colour's the problem. Too sanitary.

Well ..I wouldnt kick it out of my Garage..thats for sure..
But it has that " i dont want to bee seen in that" kinda color. so late at night when no one is around it would get a color change to Blood red with a black and red flake interior. And the shift knob would have ta go!
I think for me, driving it with that color is like driving a moped, yeah it might be fun..but you dont want your buddies seeing you ride it..ya know?

Years ago that car was on its way to a 100% perfect restoration, then Jerry changed his mind, I like it.

If I could own it, I'd "settle" for that color. You'd be too busy enjoying the ride to worry about any "limp wristed" comments that came along the way. Real men can wear pink ... right? ;)
