Damn, some people just dont want to pay $50!

Two summers ago my truck (which had no locks, stupid me) was broke into. Had some cheap tools stolen, a brand new pair of cleats, and my backpack. No biggy, except my backpack had all my notes and book for a midterm i had coming up that week! Plus my gl***es, that I needed in cl***! A buddy o mine on the local PD said a lotta crack heads were goin around the north end taking anything they could sell. But seriously, what good are notes, a book know one would care about and my damn gl***es! I wish they woulda just come back the next night and thrown it back in my yard. My buddy said they may have used the backpack at least to carry drugs...jokes on them I had a 8 inch tear in that backpack since sophmore year of high school.

Damn, this pisses me off. My wife and I used to be able to leave our cars UNLOCKED at night, up until the mid-'80s. Then it all changed.

I am no psychologist, but I think a concept began to emerge in our society. People who perceived themselves as being with noting and under-privileged began to RATIONALIZE that it was acceptable (at least in their culture) to TAKE frompeople who have worked for a little SOMETHING -- anything, even if it's nailed down and marked "Private Propery," "Not Tresp***ing," etc. Name it, it's happened to US here in Ohio -- NOT just since the so-called recession began.

We just spent the whole summer (along with the whole neighborhood) with a rash of break-ins, AND we all knew whwere it was coming from! The cops, naturally, said did you SEE who did it. Hell no, not in the middle of the night! Myself, i put the word on the street thta I was keeping my .32 and .38 special LOADED 24/7.

After 8 break-ins, the cops finally guessed right and CAUGHT the *******s early one morning (hitting the SAME place a sceond time -- how's that for stupid?). At least one went to jail, finally.

As it was, people were afraid to leave their homes to go to work, lest they come home to no electronics, etc. One break-in occurred while the couple was at CHURCH on a Sunday, fer Christ's sake!

My guns are still loaded, so I hope some vindictive a--hole doesn't come back to slash tires and bach out windows to get even. I mean, for THEIR sakes! I've lived over 50 years, so I don't mind going to prison to make a statement.
