    If you were closer I'd offer to take it off your hands, I'm a sucker for a basket case. I don't believe in parts cars!

    I remember one time these guys were messing around in the truckstop out in cali and tried stealing a coil of sheetmetal off a flatbed with a pickup truck...

    A guy I used to know Ryan had a real cool flat white roadster pickup that he crashed and isn't around anymore. I will look for a pic of it...that should give some inspiration!

    Good work, good save, good lesson!

    EDIT::: found it!

    here's an earlier incarnation from Rolls & Pleats #10

    Thanks fellas!!! I talked to my brother last night and he was pretty pumped about the way things are heading now. He's really digging it with the top off and thinks that everything can be squared up just fine.

    Funny how this is all progressing.

    Like everyone says ,I always strap them down better safe then sorry.I think He just wanted to get it home ,and got in a hurry, bummer!! I've done body work all my life and theres nothing you can't fix with metal and a welder,even if you start with just the gas cap .Stand back see what you still have and start again ,it will just be even better! Good Luck You'll make it!!

    I was offered a 32 truck cab complete and w/no if any rust for free, about 15 years ago. Back them I wonderd why anyone would want it...my, things have changed.

    I would almost bet it's still in the same field, as no one can see it, and only about 3 people know it's there. I gusss I need to check on it.

    I vote for a port-a-power and a RPU...........but I will say this, I lost an entire Dodge sedan off a trailer that WAS tied down with atv straps. That sharp ass metal just gave up the plot and it sawed right thru them.

    Actually, Ragdoll lost it..........she was the one trailering it. =O)

    i was always a fan of using 10,000lb straps to tow cars on the trailer....till one got cut halfway through. i think its actually illegal now to tow a car in california with tow straps. chains and binders all the way from now on!

  26. There's always a silver lining......I like RPU's...

  27. Damn, that put a knot in my stomach! Looked like he had done some nice work on that cab too.
