Technical dana 60 rearend Magnesium

anyone heard of a dana 60 magnesium rearend? txs

 

During the factory contested Super Stock wars in the '60s there were a few teams that had them.

 

We had one in a Ken Cox funny car ch***is , it had Ramchargers cast into the center section and as recall used 33 spline axles there was also a heavy bolt flange cast into the pinion area for a coupler shield .

 

I bought a neglected, old Pro Stock '70 Camaro from somebody's back yard that had a complete magnesium Ramchargers Dana 60 underneath it. Pretty rare piece and very cool.

 

Were they produced to normal dana 60 specs?

 

I had a Ramchargers rear..............sold it. Pretty cool.
