I call "gremlin" on that one. I use one of thier hole saws to notch out an entire rollcage, and not only did it do the whole damn thing by itself (compared to 2 of the others I had been using) but it is still sharp!
I like thier arbors because they actually center the drill bit instead of "pitching" the assembley to one side, creating a hole about 1/8 of an inch larger than you intended, and the fact the arbor has nuts on it rather than a knurled "quick release" on it. (honestly, you wanna grab that damn hot peice of equipment after cutting 4 holes in 3/16 th plate? didn't think so...) and they know that the "pins in the holesaw" method just ain't gonna work. you either get a loose holesaw, or the pins are gonna back out, and the whole mess will be tight as hell, and then it's time to chuck it up in the vice and attempt to wrestle it off of there with channellocks. better to just bolt it on, and have a place to get on it with a pair of wrenches.

Our guy (they come to us to fill our bolt bin) RULES. not only did he see to it that we got the best rate on grade 8 fastners avalibe, he actually COUNTS the washers and bolts to make sure we have what we need.

Recently, we started using thier line of "blackstone" abrasives instead of Norton stuff. the same longevity as Norton, and half the price. And they say made in the E.U.-which means europe., Gringo.

Man, I wonder if the bleachers at the Olympics will hold up.......... Remember when "made in Japan" was crap? I'd take a Japanese product any day over one made in China.

  3. I related a similar story, as many of you are saying to Pol last week when I got to see the "cute little open end washers:eek:"in person....
I was buying a new set of tires for the runaround truck a few weeks ago. I asked the tire guy what country of origin for the "American Brand" tires that I was looking for.....you guessed it "Chink Land"....he said that a lot of the tires that he gets now are from over there, he said it was a sign of the times or something like that!!! I told him that I didn't want "Commie Pinko" tires on my truck:mad:!!! Find me some USA tires....special order....more money....OK:D. In the end it cost me having to wait a day and pay an extra 50 bucks...Well worth it, in my opinion.
So there are some things that we can make a difference if we ask about it in advance:D(don't just assume that it is made here if it is a American company brand.....I'll be sharing another story soon)
