Hey Yaw just thought I would post A couple of pics I found at work. These are of A young Danny Thomas. He was known then as Amos Jacobs . This is A great pic of the early days of hot rodding. they weren't making cars for the dry lakes but the ingenuity is no doubt old school hot rodding. [/IMG]
WHo knew? I guess he was standing there waiting for them to "Make Room for Daddy" ba dum bump.. I'm here all week, try the fish...
They have a weird look on their face. And why are they wearing suits and ties with their hair perfectly combed when the others are wearing work clothes? They don't seem to fit in the picture at all. The more I look at them the creepier they get.
people actually dressed up for visiting in those days.... you know, took a bath, shaved, combed their hair and shined their shoes... instead of loading up in the Hummer with beach shorts and wifebeater shirts still soaked with sweat and sanding dust, wearing flipflops and golf visors to go to Grandma's for Sunday Dinner. some trends should have STUCK better. i wonder who wrote the caption for that picture, though....
