Darryl's run has changed venues a couple of times in recent years and now is held at the car park behind the RSL Club at Caloundra on the last Sunday of the month between 7am and 9am. This was my first time at this new(to me) location and we had just experienced the heaviest rainfall on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane in years with the aftermath of Tropical cyclone Marcia which was a Category 5 that destroyed a lot of Yeppoon buildings a couple of days earlier. So the roll up this month was low because of the weather problems but the diehards from the Sunshine Coast came in. For the non Aussies the RSL is the Returned Services League and they are building a monument for the Royal Australian Air Force at the rear with the helicopter setup. Next weekend is the Fingal/Kingscliff run that I haven't attended before but will be there this year.
