gday guys, i was looking through my barris books, and back in the 50s i saw that they did alot of little pictures over there dash, did they do any lettering, or has anyone done lettering like door lettering but on dashs?
    cheers:cool:

  2. from what ive seen most artwork and lettering was designated to the glovebox door accented pin striping over the dash was done tastefully. names and such were painted on the fenders but i think that was more of a east coast trend.

  3. Canada had many customs with names, mostly on front fender quarter panels,or trunk lid lower corner. I had a 56 Meteor Rideau Victoria custom in 64,black 2 dr ht with the words "El Bandito" on the front quarters. Pinstriped dash's were popular,Glovebox lids often had a name and/or a small picture.I recall a hot rod with "Miss Fire" on the deck lid in 1961.Canada took it's cue from U.S. mags from both coasts.

I remember that guy's used to take some decals from model car kits and add them to their dash. Dice, flames,car-tunes,lettering and striping. real old school rodders. It looked good to. Just an old guy's memory.
