I keep all of mine on a bulletin board in the garage. I also have a picture of my son holding one from his 1st show. Hopefully' we will always look at them and remember the times we spent together as he grows up. I like to collect them personally.

I have them from the first shows I went to, I keep the very first show plaque in my first hot rod. The rest are in the toy room in a box every now and then when friends are over we'll dig them out and laugh about the stuff that happened at the shows, talk about who have past that we miss and some people we wish we never met. I think they are chep reminders of the good life.

Years ago I ran the largest one day car show in our state.
400 to 500 cars usually attended.
This was a OPEN show where most anything could enter

We would have had a riot if we had not had dash plagues.
The majority of folks want them. Some may say they are indifferent ...
but I believe evryone likes having one in the goodie bag.

I have 3 cigar boxes full ... and I still like getting them :D

So I voted YES ... keep them.

I love the dash plaques. I have 5 boards full of them. I only go to shows that give them out. They hold a lot of good memories!

Perfectly said. I'm planning to head back to Bonneville this year but I'm at an age where I really shouldn't be. I have a lot of junk going back to the 60s when I started racing. I like to be able to pick up something, hold it in my hand and be transported back. My timing tags may be nothing more than small pieces of br*** but they represent a part of my life and I love them.

I can take them or leave them. They all end up in a box I keep in the garage except the magnetic ones. I can stick magnetic ones where ever in my truck or on my toolbox in the shop. When I get tired of them, or need the space for a new one, no h***le to remove.

I love dashplaques, and I agree with what most of you seem to be saying. They are great for conversations and memories.

The few that I get I take them and put them On the magnets that comes with the phone book. That way I can keep them on the refrigerator And not mess it up With the sticky tape.

I have been collecting them for years and many of them are older than a lot of our HAMBERS. I use them to mark the starting page of photos from events, They trigger memories of cars, events and great times that I have had with friends and fellow car nuts. I've seen them displayed in hundreds of ways and the people who collect them, cherish them and the memories of the times ***ociated with them. I still love getting a new one at events. If you don't want to keep yours or are just going to toss it in a drawer some place, how about giving it to a kid who is admiring your car? He will remember you and your car and your kind act forever. You will probably give the kid the car fever that we all have and thereby help to preserve the tradition of the hotrod! :D

I like getting dash plaques at the shows we attend. I put them on the metal file cabinet in my office. I actually have no desire to decorate my car with dash plaques but it helps me keep track of where I went during the past year. We had a car club meeting/dinner just this past Wednesday and it was decided that this year we will be buying better quality dash plaques. It seems to be a popular thing in Central Illinois.

Nice to have and a good reminder of shows past, the ones I do get go on the car lift or tool box.

I love collecting dash plaques, but its not the end of the world if I don't get one. I go on rod runs for the drive and to be with friends. I've seen people freak out if they don't get a dash plaque or a goody bag.

    I love dash plaques.

When I hit a show It isnt on my mind, but when I get one, or see one, its like the toy in Cracker Jack. I have a nice ***ortment of them, and they all make me smile with fond memories from that particular show.

I have metal stamped, and paper on magnet, they are a nice touch to any show, and great to display with any car, or in any office, or room.

I like em too. I went to home depot for some copies and saw a display where they sell business card size precut magnets in a bundle of 20 or so. One side has an adhesive on it. I put them on all my dash plaques and now have them on the fridge in my shop. I need to go and get another pack of magnets so I can get the pile of them out of my desk drawer.

I think if you can afford them stay with it. If it means your event would be cancelled then do what you have to do. I personally like them and have a board on the garage with all of them on it and plenty of room left to fill! I also have pictures of my son with one from his 1 st show. I think that's cool!

Thanks for all the recent replies. We tried to limit the number of plaques to give out. That didn't go over so good. So now our club gives out dash plaques to show and race cars at our event
