Dashboards in your A's, let's see 'em.

I know, it's been done before, but I want to see some more. I also have some questions for those of you who have experimented and done similar things. I have a lead on a '59 Chevy dash I'd like to cut down for my Tudor. I've seen a lot of different dashes, but no '59's in A's yet, so, let's see some. If you have done a '59 dash in something, let's see it too. The dash is a ways off, so I don't have a hand on it to measure. I've gotten some measurements and it sounds close, but would like to see some others also. I think I might just score the dash anyway and hope for the best, but any extra info, pics or otherwise would be killer.

So let's see 'em, different dashes in your hot rods, tell us what they were and how tough it was to fit.

Too cool guys keep 'em coming.

Ratty, that is very cool man, is it cast?

ROADRAT EDDIE, what kind of dash is that?

Grumpy, that is one sweet car there. I saw it's for sale, I wish I had that kind of dime, but someday I'll have my own. He didn't chop that one did he? It looked like the factory roof height.

Anyway, tell me what it took to narrow it down too fellas, how wide were you to begin with. I really like this '59 dash, but I'd like to be sure it will be close to fitting. It looks like I'll need to cut out around 16 inches or so.

    Keep 'em coming.

It's not chopped. It's channeled 6in. He thought of chopping, but he's a big guy and wanted the space.

Hey AHotRod, thanks for the link. I knew I had seen it, but couldn't find it. I can be a dumbass sometimes. I saw you brought it back up too. Very cool, thanks.

Those all look good man. I think I'm going to score that '59 dash and make it work. Thanks to all who participated, in both threads. Gotta love the HAMB man, you guys are great.
