Great job on the alterations, HRP. I have always thought that the '54 dash was so much more custom appearing than the '52 and '53. Slick, Bud !

Well, keep your day job, Aristotle ! Just shittin' you, Bud ! In the '70s, I used a piece of French walnut with those SW gauges in my '34 sedan. A buddy liked it so much, he traded a pumped up, rebuilt, TH 350 to me for the unit. Everyone parted ways happy and those gauges and panel are still in one of his '34 coupes. Next '33-'34 I possess, a chunk of wood will hold the gauges.

    Hi G,

When we drove by an saw this 1952 Ford Sedan Delivery sitting by the side of the road, it was classic moment. In our neck of the coast, there are plenty of old sedan deliveries of all kinds. This one just happens to be one of the nicest ones around. It stands out as a testament to custom accessories and the memories of a late 50s early 1960 custom sedan delivery. A build well done.

When I showed the photos to my wife, she denied having bad thoughts of our 40 Ford 327 powered sedan delivery's bad blind spot and gave it some thought to another sedan delivery for purchase. She still likes the privacy the sedan deliveries offer in most makes. But, this Maroon/White color shot was one for the books, and it was taken on a side street next to a curb. Definitely, a non photo shoot location if there ever was one.

Sorry, this cool sedan delivery would fit in our small two car garage and would look rather nice in there. But, alas, it still cruises around the whole So Cal coastal area, as we have seen it elsewhere at times. It is someone else's cool custom, as the topic states.

The color is '05 Dodge Magnum.
Vintage Air heat and air control fits right in.

  16. Looks stock but the gauge opening is longer and the windshield crank hole and bezel has been removed and reworked to look like the ribs in the rest of the center. 20160525_145019_zpsddpq8qvy.jpg

I stumbled upon this photo of a Tuesday lunch run when it was my turn to buy, mmmmhhhh calzones

    Hello,

My wife has always been attracted to a convertible. As it was mentioned, girls/women and convertibles just go together in any make or model. It may have been that my wife’s mom owned a 1947 Buick Convertible in the 50s when the family moved to the Westcoast from the OKC region.

When in So Cal, now that they were locals, why not get a convertible for her own car. My wife’s dad already owned a 51 Chevy sedan and a 36 Ford coupe. So, the mom and the two girls in the family now, had their own car. A convertible no less.

When we had a road trip to see some neighborhood historic houses and old custom cars/hot rods, I tagged along to see the cars. This was prior to the start of the pandemic and we were all normal in our daily routines. Upon arrival, one of the first cars that my wife saw was this yellow 1953 Buick convertible.

The most noticeable thing was the color yellow on the convertible. But, as we approached, the bright red dashboard drew our attention. It was a nice contrast in colors and the Skylark Wire Wheels just added enough "pizazz" to make it outstanding.

Since my own family was always in the Buick home front, we always saw those big Buick dashboards for plenty of miles on our road trips all over So Cal and into Baja Mexico. My wife did like this Buick Convertible with its cool looking dash and wire wheels. But, no, we did not purchase the convertible. It would take up almost the whole width of our small two car garage.
