el caballo loco It`s okay most people do... I was just lucky i had a friend thinking of me @ the time....

gotgas Thanks it`s a Bitchin car for sure. The gold is growing on me... i am thinking of maybe painting the oil pan black but i think the black frame and firewall and color of car will kinda blend in and make the gold pop just enough we`ll see :) As for the chrome etc the aluminium intake, chrome V/C`s, Valley cover aluminium, and fill tube and cap should make it look goood. And the waterpump is painted cast and W/P pulley is chrome with Black H/B and lower pulley.

Frank just get it road worthy and drive`er :) i understand though july is good I got lots to do still but been busy @ shop so I work been working til
8-9 at night and to tired to go work on The Coupe... but i am getting a little excited the more i get done on the Engine:D. I am going to try to make stafford In early out early got lots to do...... I wish i was going to LSR I really am fighting the urge to go but if i want my car done for the 22nd i cant take the time off.

  5. OMG!

I visit this place regular...so how did I miss THIS thread?
(Maybe I got confused /frustrated trying to get through the opening lines and went onto the next one.)
    My loss.
I just read the whole thing in one sitting.

One things for sure, your excitement about the find definitely came through at the start.

Finds like these are definitely what makes this space the place it is.

Who cares if your grammar wasn't so great...anybody can write posts...
    YOU BUILD TRADITIONAL RODS!

Love the fact that it has an Olds...and you're keeping it alive!
    Love the gold paint too.

Coupled with the burgandy color it's really ROYAL!

My wife grew up in Marlborough,Mass.
If we ever get up that way in the summer I hope to see you on the highway!

  8. Pretty pictures they are!
I bet there's a lot of guys out there who think your '32 is even nicer than the Milner coupe.
It certainly has a great look to it.
And I forgot to mention ..also love the off white eggshell wheels!
Speaks of the 50's era rods you see in Andy Southards photo books.
Anyway..looking forward to more of your posts on the progress.

Pair-a-dice I have been lucky, Also having the HAMB and alot of you guys helping with ideas and opinions has been able to keep the car the way it it is for the most part If it wasn`t for all this i woulda blown this apart and redid the car and it hopefully wouldve been a fraction as nice as 3wlarrys car etc. But its gonna stay as close to as it was built back in the 50`s early 60`s as possible for now.

Scott those are the shit!! maybe without the redline?? either way order them up for me will ya? Consider it pre pay :D:D LMAO J/K I will pos a pic of the tires on there now they are bad i really was foolish to even drive the car with them on there last year all it woulda taken was that RR to come apart and ruin the fender and 1/4 and i woulda probably committed suicide no joke....:( 1 more slow ride to the airport and then new skins i hope. Cant wait to get Bretts car going let me know when is good for you I`ll be over.

X6 but all it takes is money and i am broke right now

Here`s a pic of the Intake before and after i just cleaned it and painted it as it was all flaky white and it won`t stop so gonna see how it looks for now, But i am sure the carbs will leak all over it anyway. I would like to put some injection on it :)

Those wheels look like 50s Buick. Buick had way less backspacing than an Olds wheel back then.

Do you have room behind the tire to use a shallower dished wheel?

...another thing on the tires sticking out...

I don't think those are 32 Ford rear fenders. They look too narrow, and the beads are too wide.

Frank I have 4-5 inches to play with thats from the back outter edge of rim to the spring outter perch... Those are Model A Bobbed fenders i believe thats what My friend Sheldon said he thought they might be aswell. The perfect offset i believe is from a 76-84 oldsmobile they were what we used on the stock circle track class as they were perfect for left side wheels tucked the left side in more weight on LS. I will remove the wheels tonight just been busy with alot of other things and money has been tight..

Yes pat in a way i didn`t want to do this but in another way i did, I did put about 600 miles on the old motor/car last year in 3 months and it was pushing oil, skipping, and smoking at the end. SHould be alot better running and a bit more stout running on all 8 :) Hopefully it will be in tonight and running soon. Maybe i can get a video uploaded i really need to learn how to do that cant be that hard. Are you coming to the Early ford show this weekend?

I think sometimes you have to split the difference between what the original builder(s) did back in the day, and what they *would have done* if they had the resources. I don't know too many folks that would have passed on a fresh engine.

Sorry, booked up this weekend already. I'm itchin' for a good show now that the weather has finally warmed up.

Pat your right and what good is a car that isn`t reliable and enjoyable.. It looks like rain anyways and that sucks wh can`t These guys ever get a break... maybe it will clear up.

Here`s the Engine ready to go in the coupe I like it maybe a tan color wouldve looked good too that was one of my choices. Now if it runs as good as it looks :D
