Love it!

 

This was a one owner 28 Model A, but the first owner used up most of the good.

 

The day after it was delivered, ended up redoing every bracket and mount except the steering box mount. JW

 

Was concerned what was under the blue paint so i left it, nothing has come to light so may have been OK after all. JW

 

I don't know badshifter, seems like a lot of winners in this deal. Inspirational stuff. That 28/29 truck is eye popping. Who doesn't love everything about that beauty? Damn...

Day 1

It looks nicer in photos than in person-

Note High water mark on the glass fender
Repop splash aprons
Rotten/hacked subrails and down low in the body




Not to mention the work in the chassis!


Mid point on the chassis-

All tubing bent and chassis fab in my 24" square garage

Note the frame rails are stock Model A, three sets of rails part of the frame that was under the car, and two others one that was bent in the front and one that was rotten in the back!
Our rules say stock frame rails however didn't see where is said the had to come from the same car!




I stepped back from the project for a little while the class was getting a little out of control!

Modern Bret transmissions, new super light weight quick changes, big horse power small blocks!
However things have been reeled in and I am back at it.

 

Definitely not day 1 but first day I had most pieces put together. 8 years ago seems just like yesterday
