Day 3 1/2 and it's a roller...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by -, May 9, 2004.

  1. Well not many showed up today. The guys were either hung over or had mother's day stuff to do. We only worked a half day to get the mother's day stuff in.

we did get it up and rolling though. Here's an end of day mock up to see what it looks like.

The car is really looking good. I didn't know you had the monster mudder tires guess I'll have to burn grooves in the white walls.

Oh shit... It was Mother's day...???

I got to hammer metal and Nappy got to weld... Learning stuff kicks ass...

This thing has come together a LOT so far... It's losing the "tetanus factor" and and gaining ass-kicking points every minute...

  11. How nice that you could stop long enough for Mom, or was it just too nice not sit in the backyard and drink beer?
A square roll bar would have made my day...car looks great!

That looks so nice! Can't help but notice that two Dodge roadsters showed up here this week "The Allen Special" and this one, may start a trend. What is the motor in this car. I like the Whippet radiator shell, and radius rod detail. That kickup in the front rods looks real nice what year are they?

  18. The motor was out of an 83 Ford Ranger....FREEBIE!!
The front wishbones are 42 to 48. I think.
Flamedcoupe...the tank was in your truck [IMG]
Thanks for the compliments. There is a bunch of us putting a lot of work into it.

Awesome! I gotta build me one of those! Oh wait.... I don't have the skill, money or tools to build something like that. Nevermind. But I still want one!

  23. OCP...that's the best part of these. It doesn't take a lot of money tools or talent to build one of these. Sure it's a lot quicker if you have the right tools. Hell most of the parts on this are cast offs.

  30. SoWhat, compliments on the work thus far, although, I'd preffer you to shorten the w/base just a bit, and section your body by about 2", kinda like the following....

    Again,

    Cheers,
