I do have some laundry that needs done, I'm out of black T-shirts. [IMG]

This will be Charlies T's first trip to the track. He's an old racer and there'll be no telling how fast he'll go.
I bet he's mighty quick! [IMG]

No telling, we keep hearing rumers of FED's and stuff. It sounds like it'a gonna be at least twice as many cars as
    last year.

Most of the folks down here are just exited to see the Drag-n-Fly!

Engine out of my 32 is bare block on stand with boxes of parts on workbench. Only thing running around her that is traditional is an old 60s go cart. Can I run that down the track? MY POS rusty 30 roadster without engine I hauled home last week is still on the trailer but my wife wont let me sit in it while she pulls the trailer down the track. She has a minature donkey that pulls a cart but his ET in quarter is about 5 minutes plus he would take a **** on the track and Root has already said he is CORNHOLIO so the donkey would probably piss him off so guess I will just spectate.

40 hours from now and the gates open!!

    Nope..it's a 1/4 mile.

How's the weather fairing?I get 6 different forecasts from 6 different websites. [IMG]

I have everything loaded and the Fly is under a tarp...we'll see if that keeps the rain away. Anytime I spend the time to tarp something, it's dry as a bone so.....I wrapped her up!!!

alleycat they run 1/8 mile there their normal weekly drags but for "special people" it magically turns into a quarter again. Nostalgia drags back in spring they run 1/4. I think maybe with the speed/et continually moving faster they dont have enough track lenght for a modern dragster shutdown . Long ago this was an abandoned stretch of highway that used to cross the river. I used to run C modified production there in mid 60s, always heard stories that originally strip ran toward river. Root a front came thru got cool today 55 degrees but no rain. Should be cool & clear Sat. Come on down!!

  28. No rain today in Waco, pretty chilly, good drag racing weather though. They are claiming it's supposed to rain tomorrow & saturday, but I think it's ********... we all know how inaccurate the weather forecasts are here in Texas. I think Texas has some sort of disturbing effect on the Doppler Radar...Maybe it's all the belt buckles & spurs... or maybe just the ozone fog layer from all you ***holes tuning your cars up before the drags...shame shame

    See you all there...

BTW for those of you who don't know...

    From Dallas:
I-35 Through Waco, Exit 303 in Temple @ Loop 290 around Temple til US190 then TX-95, Viola! you're there.

And when you p*** through Waco near Baylor University, rev up your motors & yell, maybe I'll hear ya.

or stop by the shop if you'll be p***ing through on Friday,

We are at 8th Street & Jefferson, about 10 blocks from I-35, just past the river, on the other side of the big "ALICO" building downtown...

  29. Coming from the north, you guys should take exit 303 which loops around Temple and turns into 95. If you are pulling a trailer, you don't mess with those backroads unless you are familiar with them.
