    Yea Collin,
Teach you to bad mouth the "blower Flathead guys"....now "we are all in it together" to put a blower on your car...too cool.
I vote for heads up, maybe a few more cl***es, keep it easy and fun.
Had a blast, but had no traction...just wait until next time:D hahaha
Shoot, a 40 dollar prize....gonna have to spend "thousands" now to win that....just so I can offer to spend it on supper, like Graham did after winning it. What a great day, what great friends...Hot Rods bring out good times!

Gotta get more Flatheads to run out there so the pot will increase. The Gas C/S cl*** was where the big money was this time. Need more flatheads........need more flatheads. Now that I think about, the FHX cl*** should have had a $50 pot w/ the one buy back factored in. I owe Graham another 10 spot.

The poll ended up like 16-3 in favor of heads up, before the Drags forum got taken down. I ***ume hot rod artiste voted bracket. I know Merc voted bracket, even though he won't race. So just about everybody else voted heads up.

We'll see what we end up with. I don't want the slow *** stockers to be too intimidated to come out and run. But heads up seems more fun to me. Guess we have a year to figure it out...

I would like to tell everybody about the way I got home , the three times I broke my coupe in a row ! triple A plus ! 83 bucks a year and 4 tow`s a year 100 mile radius ! you can use them all and get 400 miles ! how cool is that! flat bed wreckers if you tell them that is what you need ! I bought a 46 2 door and had it towed from the swap meet at bourne to austin and droped of at the front door ! it had 1966 plates on it ! trust me this works for any car your around you don`t have to own it ! and I wrote the adress on the wall at little river in the teck booth cause nobody new it ? the wrecker drivers dont care , and get a kick out of how you broke !

Next time for sure... my little coupe is running good but needed some seals and stuff last weekend (lotsa oil drips), so I concentrated on making video.

Heads-up is the way to go, but ideally we need enough flatheads to split the blown/unblown cars. Lining my coupe up next to SKOTZ is like a gorilla wr***lin' a penguin.

What about something like the olden days were a power adder like nitrous, blower, turbo, etc. bumped you into the next cl***. Means Skotz would be in the Gas coupe/sedan cl*** and DW, Keith's nitrous coupe and that wicked '55 would be in the Comp. cl***. If we'd did that this year, pretty much everybody's times would have been similar. I know Keith's car was running 11's on motor, but I'm not sure that it should quality as a street car. But maybe it does.

Nothing is set. Certainly don't go building a new car or a new motor based on what the cl***es may be. Build a new car and motor because it's a blast to go fast. That's what I'm gonna do!:D

Oh, and Dirty31. Like I posted on another post, we've never had trophies for the Drags. Just the green folding stuff and bragging rights.

Yeah, we've got some figureing to do.

I'm thinking we need to step blown cars up a cl***.

If you are running a blower you have to compete in the street cl***es.
If you're running a huffed Small Block, you have to compete in the Comp Cl***es ect.

    oh and NO NOS.

unless its on a clown car.;)

I ran a 13.4 @ 101. Hit my goal of 100 and got my patch! I think the sedan has a bit more (er driver has a bit more). Need some practice. I had a great time and can't wait for next year.

D.W. that blows about your #3. I was hoping it wasn't something major. Might as well o-ring it now! :)

Just a thought but have you put together a mailing list or at the very least an email list? Would save you guys from having to repeat the vital stuff over and over......

I agree to needing more running, there was a Houston car that was supposed to come up and show us how it was done, but no show...We will work on more attendance for the "antique engine cl***" guys:cool: ....

B***, very sad over hear about Eli.

He was a super cool dog and will be missed.

As for the track, I know we would have seen a good run when you came back up if they would'nt have backed you off.

I managed to get the chevy down to a 14.7 @ 93 mph. not too bad for driving almost 250 miles and cleaning the fouled plugs with only gas and cardboard.

    What do you mean?

    What's traditional about Nitrous?
Why should it be allowed in a Gas cl*** heads up?

Nothing is set yet. The NOS may just bump you up a cl***.

Were you even "spraying" last weekend?

uhhh..Hey Fellas..You do know that Nitrous has been used since wwII, right?
There were more than a few Airplanes that used it , and more than a few cars built out of airplane parts. sooo...

Nitrous Oxide is certianly a vintage speed trick. (It was also considered cheating, but that does not mean it wasn't used.)

Don't think you're gonna stump Krupa on WWII airplane stuff anytime soon.

And I think it should fall in with blowers and injection. We've got time to sort it out. Heck, I may be running NOS next year!
