It looked like everyone had a great time and I'm glad I could at least watch all the races. It really ****ed driving my truck to the track though, I have till December till I can get to working on the AV8. Hopefully by next year I'll be joining in the fun. Nice meeting yall!

    Must be the fenderwell dumps:D
My bone stock 235 con tres on el arbol ran CONSISTENT 22 sec times the 3 times I ran her! Then the man at the christmas tree said,
"Something in the back of your car is bouncing like hell."
I thought it was time to call her quits:(
Well, that and Outlaw threatened to throw my keys on the track so I couldn't run anymore:D
Next year-new split mainfold, intake, maybe some head work, but the 235 stays! And I'll find out what the hells bouncing under my car (drive shaft? Gremlins?)
    Viva La Seis!

Guys at the track were very helpful. I sure hated I didn't get to run more. That $6.00 per gallon race gas didn't drive down the highway any better than regular unleaded.
On the way back to the Thunderbolt World Headquarters, somewhere on 95 between Granger & Bartlett, a white Olds with two chicks in it pulled up beside me, the p***enger pulled up her shirt and flashed me, WOW! 'bout had a heart attack until I recognized "them" and figured out it was my wife!!

What a blast! I ran a bunch of 99's My best was 13.50@99.58- so close to gettin' one of those patches! With a little bit of luck and a $5 buyback I made it to third place in the bracket racing. I really wanted a patch, but I don't think I did too bad considering it was my first time ever on a dragstrip.
I gotta thank Merc. Charlie for letting me take the T for the weekend. I'm motivated enough now to maybe actually start thinking about possibly finally getting started on my sedan someday, if I can find the time.

The only running I did this year was back and forth to Boom Booms ride to read his time slip. :D

I think he could'nt read it cause his cheeks were pushed up in front of his eyes from that big grin on his face evey time he came down pit row.

I had a blast at the drags.
