Despite area flooding's and tornado warnings, this past week, mother nature gave us 3 beautiful days for the TRR. My stay was rather short, but sweet. So glad to see so many old friends and met quite a few new ones. Really need to go for at least 2 days to scratch the surface, of swap and show. Did a search, and no other picture threads started. Lots of coverage on FB, but none here. Seems like the bar has been raised, for a few traditional builds. Glad to see more attention in that direction, than the purposely built rust rods. No offense directed, towards owners/builders of those. Being a '64 Olds nut, was so excited to see this car in the flesh. Magazines do it NO justice.
This '55 was nothing short of incredible. Attention to detail was mind blowing. Wish I could have spent more time chatting with owner.
Central geographic location, good to meet up with my fellow hooligans. (Jakespeed, Sweats, El Dawgg, Swiss Mike and The Grey One) Couldn't pry Nads(or Ramblur for that matter) out of the swap meet. On the hunt for the impossible treasures. He's like a bloodhound. He once found taillight bezels, for his English Capri, in the bottom of a cardboard box.
El Dawgg's '63 wagon is super fine...as is Dallas' Edsel Long Roof. Sliced and diced Ford Econoline was bitchin' Peaches n Cream combo was sweet as a Georgia peach.
Really come to love these little Ramblur Cross Country's. Pontiac Ambulance was kinda cool/unique and Those Big Block Biscaynes are quite appealing.
And almost forgot, on behalf of the Misfires C.C. to send out a BIG THANKS to all the guys and gals (ie..Gregg Pellicer) whom put on this amazing event. Our little Gala show, in Feb is enough work itself, cannot imagine what goes into this monster. Nasty Rumor, that the track wanted to cancel it??? Hope it's not true. JT
