I enjoy Thursday, good crowd of people and cars. By Saturday some of the people that have been there the previous 3 days aren't staying long or even coming back at all. I'll be there with a surprise car
There will be HAMB parkinmg in the same spot as last year. Unfortunatly it is already full. I never really posted the availability of parking this year. Everyone from last year just PM'd me for parking stickers. Dont that let anyone from coming on over and saying Hi.If there's any interest we can do the meet and greet thing around 1;00 every day. For those that dont know the HAMB parking will be in the parling area at the east end of the lake. We will have the frirst 4 spot's just inside the gate . See yall there. Gregg
F-Bombs will be parking with the HAMB on the east side of the lake. Thanks again Gregg! All ten of us will be rolling in early Saturday morning.
I was at the first one and it's kinda become a habit. I'll be holding down my usual spot in the swap meet - Yellow Field, Row 9, Space 298. This year I plan to get out and about a bit and walk the swap for a change so I'm going to limit how much junk I bring. If you're there, drop in and rest your bones and have a coke. Lee
I hope my car will make it as it was blowing coolant out of the radiator cap today, been playing with different caps and did not do it before I took the radiator in to be repaired. I went over a few things a few weeks ago and thought I had it all sorted out but I will be there in one of my cars or will borrow one if needed,I seem to be having issues with cooling systems as I have a friend fixing a coolant leak in my daily driver while I am gone and fought radiator issues in the womans truck.
I'll be there, looking forward to it. this will be my 2nd year, and the advice to wear good walking shoes is good advice.
Taking my "new to me" '32 Roadster. Def not HAMB friendly, (too much glitz-n-glamour) but I'm trying to make a $$$ with it. =) I'll be hangin' at the Plaza from around noon every day.
Just spent the whole day walking the swap meet aisles and the car corral-Two days are a must if you wanna see everything. Great time and a good crowd.
Is it really $15 bucks a person to get in to the carshow? Im hurting for cash and really want to go but its a tank of gas there plus admission. That would be about $95 bucks for me and the boys.
My father and I walked the swap meet for 5 1/2 hrs... came up empty.. was searching for 6 cylinder parts. I found some real cool stuff, pretty much everything except for what i needed. But that said we had a blast!
Traffic was terrible, wiped out my throw out bearing in my '50 Chevy. Had to adjust it twice to make it home. So much for having a nice day.
I posted pictures from the last 2 days... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5907558&posted=1#post5907558
It did seem like the traffic in the area was alot more heavy then in the past, went to visit a friend who lives west of Orlando and the traffic was terrible there too and made it a little difficult driving a car without power brakes. I also struck out in the swapmeet as I was looking for Y block parts and came out with nothing, the vendors I talked to had the parts I needed at home, the 55 made it there and back with no problem and just like I suspected the engine builder installled the wrong cam and was real noticable in the mountains of kentucky and Tennesse but the Y block I will be building will fix that problem.
I just put another 100 pictures of the Turkey Run on the website... http://www.jalopyweb.com/turkeyrun11/ Cadman
