This is a 3” but will be adding 1”,2”,4”,5”,and 6” . Well when I hit the lottery. I have a full set of punch and dimple dies already and now I will not have to drill a hole first and squeeze with a bolt . Working smarter rather than harder in my old , sore age . Blue
Finally got back to work on the Tudor yesterday . Had to do some plumbing and other honey do s . 80% of the wiring is done . Dash is mounted and I cut a huge hole in the old gas tank for room for glovebox . Man it is nice and deep with no heat or ac in the way . The stock gas tank had been coated with tank sealer. Not a good job . The sealer that I show was just in the area I cut out ! Changed the headlight stands while I’m wiring. I like these much better .
Ok , now I’ve a question. Anyone know what this column came out of ? And does anyone have another one of these wheels , 16x4 , for sell ? Thinking of going to these wheels. I have 3 16s and one 17 . Also I will finish the wiring and fuel system this week and start beadrolling the interior the next . Got the design narrowed down to diamond panels with one of these designs in door panels. Bird or tiki? Thanks for the help in advance! Blue
All of it except the art section on front doors will be diamonds . But will have art in it like this . Not done by me . Vote for which art , thanks Blue .
Steering box looks like Mustang so maybe the column is too. Sent from my SM-G950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Hi Blue.Looking good.Just remember"Diamonds are a girls best friend". Good luck.Have fun.Be safe. Leo
Been working on the A a bunch , just not much interesting to show . All but 3 wires to finish in the car . Ordered some different headlights , will mount and wire and be done with the wiring . Going to change the steering wheel without the 2” adapter. Gauge panel looks good , I think .
Does anyone know if they make an adapter to use 16x4 wires on my front disk setup . Or will they even work .????? Blue
Cold this morn so I got a late start . Worked on cutting down a stock taillight bracket for a mount for my 3rd brake light Thursday and painted it yesterday . Mounted it today . I live on a rough road and didn’t want it vibrating to much so made a LP mount/ brace . Just an excuse to use my punch press . Will go back to work after dinner and mount my new steering wheel . Latter, Blue
My feet have been hurting with this plantar fasciitis and haven’t done much . Did get the new headlights and mounts on . They lean in and need some tweaking. Need to bend the stands or may look at the attachment place ? Also mounted the gas tank for the last time . Uaisg the original inlet hose ,with a plug , for a vent to tie into filler spout . Using exaust pipe , grease cap and fitting . Should work fine . Hard to see in picture but short piece of hose is for vent and one with tape is for filler. Blue
"I've factory suicide doors on my Hudson, with original piano hinges, and Bearclaw latches. Never had any issues, and I sometimes drive fast on our shirty roads, with it Rattling like crazy." I just picked up my 28 Hudson a few months ago and drove her 13 hours home. The suicide doors never gave me a moments worry, although the drivers side window unwound a few times and scared the crap out of me! Those doors are strong!
Been out of town ,taking care of my wife and my feet . Got home late yesterday and saw it was going to be warm for 2-4 days . Decided I needed to do some painting . When I was at SEMA this year I saw a new product being handled by hush mat for heat , headers paint . I bought a can and thought I would try it . I had my old headers baked at my radiator shop over night and it cleaned all the oil and such off . This morn I got up and sandblasted them as per instructions. Layer the paint on and it looked great . When wet it looked just like my 69 Dodge Cornonet RT , metallic bronze . Loved that car . Got it in September of 68 after being discharged from active duty , USMC . Took all the money I had earned in VN and bought it 426 radio and heater delete , twin hood scoops two fours......... I’m getting off subject . Pipes look great and will give a report on how they hold up . Blue Can’t tell color very good in photos ,copperish bronze with a slight metallic.
Header paint looks great, hope it holds up. What gas tank are you using? Looks like a truck tank maybe? Anyway, enjoying your build & I hope your feet feel better.
48-52 Ford pu . Got it from Speedway . I too hope the paint holds up , kind of expensive. About half the price of ceramic. Feet= old age , hard floors for68 years .
Thanks for the answer regarding the tank. Thought that might be it as it is what I have been wanting to use. Did it fit width-wise without modification?
