Well, I'm pretty impressed with this show. It started as a rebellion against Lead East, but now that Lead East is pretty much toast, I went to DMC for the first time. Needless to say, I believe next year, I'll stay the weekend! While they let in a lot of later model muscle cars, there is still enough rods and Kustoms to peak your interest. Seems most of the Kustom Diehards from Lead East have gravitated there. Even at it's now location in Somerset, NJ, it drew a packed lot, with quite a few car in the overflow lot, as well. I followed my buddy, Ken, who brought out the Shoebox he's been working on (and is for sale) on it's maiden voyage, just in case he needed help. But he did make it up there, riding with Tony (from Kustom Shoebox Library, on Facebook).
Thanks, Chop. Attended Lead East a couple of times in the 80's, lots to see and do! Wings provided the music, lots of Cool Customs, doo wop groups in the auditorium, etc. If this show is anything like that, it's definitely worth attending!
