Grand Jury To Investigate Beating Death Of Tulsa Bar Owner Wednesday October 06, 2004 11:53am Tulsa (AP) - Tulsa County officials say there are enough valid signatures on a pe***ion to have a grand jury investigate the death of a Tulsa bar owner. The family of Shawn Howard began the pe***ion drive after prosecutor Tim Harris declined to file charges against a transient who beat Howard with a lead pipe. Harris says Terry Badgewell acted in self-defense when Howard and bar manager Josh Martin hit him with br*** knuckles. The Tulsa County Election Board says at least five-thousand of the signatures collected by Howard's family are that of registered voters. Prosecutors say a grand jury already investigating a separate case will likely investigate Howard's death. http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1004/178267.html
It had been so long since I'd heard about it, I was afraid you guys had become discouraged in your battle. Maybe at the end of all of this an impeachment could be in order. Keep us posted.

[/ QUOTE ] I just found the article, I helped lay the groundwork for the pe***ion but was unable to continue with it. I'm very happy there were enough valid signatures on the pe***ion and hope the grand jury does the right thing.
Justice for the innocent is a long hard road. I wish everyone involved the best in their quest to get it for Shawn. Frank
Great news, was just thinking about that today on my way home from work.... Check here & theres the answer. Dave
that's step 1,now what you guys need to do is make sure the D.A. loses his job,****bags like that have no place in public service
I actually drove through Tulsa on my move back east and I couldn't help thinking that a HUGE sign on the chain link fences on the overp***es on the highway would be a GREAT place to put up HUGE signs about Tim Harris's idea of justice. Just a thought.
Hey Deyo - you shoulda pm'd me you were driving through. You were a such a big supporter when this all started it would have been cool to meet you.
Well, it was VERY last minute, and I really should have planned it better but the girl and I didn't want to have any concrete plans for the trip, in case something popped up. Before I knew it, we were about a half hour outside of Tulsa and I called OldCarPilot to see if he was with FltBlk and if I could get Rashy's number from him. Well, it would have required a few phone calls and we were driving and I just basically got lazy and we decided to just drive on through. Excuses..excuses...I really regretted NOT making the effort after that. It would have been good to meet you all.
I just drove through tulsa myself a couple weeks back and couldn't help but notice all the huge billboards as well. Would make a good spot to put up a subtle message about Harris. election season is coming up isn't it?
Excellent..!! I had a customer just over this last weekend who was visiting from a town between Tulsa and OKC... Okemah or something like that..?? I asked her if she'd heard of this case, and she totally did, and knows just how evil that Tim Harris *** is too.... I hope it all comes together.... Now if I could only get a Deadtown shirt to show my support.... Later, Snacks....
Its great to see when people pull together & this happens. Alway remember "question authority".Don't take there answer if you don't like it!!!Go the extra steps You people did good!! JimV
That is wonderful! Now locating that piece o' **** is going to be the hard part. Didn't the local bleeding hearts, ACLU, or somebody decide to front up the cash to hide him out or something?
Don't worry folks, Harris is up for re-election in '06 and we have a campaign all worked out for him. I am thinking of t-shirts that say on the front... "What will Tim Harris ask of Tulsans after the next election?" And the back..... "Would you like fries with that?" I think huge white letters on a black shirt should do it.
