Check Rock Auto, Quality Engineered Components("73RR" on this Board) , Hot Heads, they have stock stuff like bearings, ect. Some areas you might want to "upgrade". Egge has pistons in a nominal 8.5 Compression Ratio (stock for '55 331) Early 331s were an advertised 7.5 51-54, or 8.5 for '55, but measured out they often come out up to a full point lower than advertised. Don't know for sure if Egge's will actually provide 8.5 or not.

You didn't say witch 331 you have, but assuming you want it to look stock on the outside there are some up grades that probably should be done. The 8.5 Egge pistons are one. The cam used in 331s remained the same from the 1st 2 barrel 7.5 engines through the 4 barrel, 8.5 engines. All were long snout cams. Only thing you can do with them is a regrind & use adjustable push rods. Probably better off ordering a new made '56 354 cam made for you're cam/CID/comp ratio. You can use an LA 318/340 timing chain(with a spacer between cam & gear). Be easier to find a replacement one in Germany than an OEM 331 timing chain. The drilling a .050 hole in the galley plug behind the dizzy is a good mod. You might want to look at "73RR"s site on how to modify your Main Cap to take the new made Melling M-50 392 oil pump vs a rebuilt 331 one, you just have to figure out the oil pump pick up. As was said all of this can be done 'out of site" & if you keep the cam close to the OEM grind it won't be obvious when running. As was mentioned above, spend sometime in the Hemi tech Index.

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the Link to the Hemi tech theard. Really fantastic Link.

I have a 1954 331 hemi 235hp 4 Barrel carburetor and powerflite automatic transmisson. Car is a 1954 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door Deluxe. From Riverside/California.

Parts for the Hemi engines a really seldom and expensiv in germany.

My engine ran before I disassemble him very nicely.
But because he has 2 frosts cracks . If I had to do him to weld completely disassemble. The engine already had
long get no oil change. All engine parts
look good. The crankshaft has some shouted.
I will do a rebuild, but pistons rods and valves looks good.

I have planned make the rebuild with
    this Parts.

    Main bearings
    Rod bearings
    Cam bearings
    Piston rings
    Gasket Set
    Oil pump rebuild kit
    Bypass oil valve
    Lifters
    Push Rod

Perhaps valves and a hoter camshaft.

Have you Experiences with this companys?

    Hothemiheads
    Falcon global parts
    Willys replacement parts

    Thanks
    Mario
