I have three large posters hanging on my computer room walls, all photos taken by Dean Batchelor. Great stuff.
I have to be honest and say that I don't think I've ever heard of Mr Kellogg....and I LOVE my hotrod pictorial collections! I sure do look forward to seeing more of his collection though. This might even be a blog I pay attention to....and I hate blogs!
Ryan ... I agree ... this is a HUGE deal! Mr. Kellogg ... I'm really looking forward to your monthly installment here @ TJJ (and your posts on the HAMB) ... thanks so much for your willingness to share some of your archive with us ... it's very much appreciated!
Just a quick note, Ron Kellogg and Dean Batchelor are the real deal. I knew Dean thru one of his friends and I have known Ron and his wife Sonia for about 15 years. Ron has invested and incredible amount of time and money in the photo files of Dean's and should be given a large thank you for his efforts. HAMB members should look at his files and consider buying what they can use or like...this is real art and it doesn't get any better than this.
Thank You Mr. Kellogg and Ryan. I've been fascinated, by the legacy of talent, Dean Batchelor left for us, for many years. This is a wonderful addition to the HAMB.
Thank you Geoff Hacker for setting this up between Ryan, Ron Kellogg and the hamb. I have been looking forward to this ever since I heard about the plans. This is absolutely great that it is happening and that this fantastic collection will be shared. Like many others the Dean Batchelor collection has had a huge impact on the cars/style I love. The photos Dean took of the early custom cars, and the magazine articles and posters he produced using those are has been extremely important for today's custom car history. And how the "period perfect" custom cars of today look like. Because the photos Dean took, and the collection of Ron Kellogg and the fact that he is sharing this, we all know how these cars looked in the 40's and slowly developed. One of the many articles Dean Batchelor produced about early custom cars, And hopefully all these wonderful photos are not in the Kellogg collection and perhaps some of them can be seen again in today's print or screen quality. And one of the fantastic posters Dean produced. And they are still available, click on the photo for more info. Ofcoars Dean did a lot of Hot Rod stuff as well.. and in fact much more than the Custom Stuff, but since I'm a custom car nut... I had to focus on this! Thank you mr Kellogg for sharing your wonderful collection with us... THANK YOU
Outstanding!! Thanks Mr. Kellogg and Ryan. Can't wait for the monthy fix, nothin' like the old photos. Alliance membership.......money well spent, no doubt about it!!
Ryan, this is big time!! Thank you Mr. Kellogg for a great story! I look forward to your monthly column.
This is stupendous! What a great addition to JJ. Ron, Thanks for sharing your stories, vast knowledge and photo archive with us. It's really is something else to see photos of that era like this on their own but your stories place whole other dimension to the photos. I look forward to the next installment. THANK YOU!! Ryan, Thanks for continuing to work so hard on JJ to bring top notch Hot Rodders like Mr. Kellogg to the scene here. The HAMB is definitely something to appreciate on its own merit. Chris
Hi Denis 4X4, thanks for remembering me from the GNRS, sorry but we will not be there this year, as my wife its just to much for her, but if you need any posters or photos go to KelloggAutoArchives.com and look things over for the fun of it, or call me, its on that site, and be glad to answer most questions? As I am old and may fall asleep while talking? Ha! Ha! Ron Kellogg
Just a note of THANKS: Can not believe the nice response from all or you to my Dean Batchelor story & cars, 1st Ryan, its a real pleasure to be added to your site, and I will try to make you proud, sound like a politician ? Damn I hope not, its exciting to let everyone see some of the images that I have, and really don't wish to go into detail as it would take many hours & time, But I am sure it will be fun as some of these images have never been seen before, and I'll try to put something out there FRESH each time, so all your comments have inspired me, and I thank you all.
