Anyone put a fuel tank in the trunk of a Dearborn Deuce? If so what did you use? Would like to find something that works without modifying the factory trunk bracing which is very well done. Never liked the idea of using a fuel tank for a bumper on a 32. Thanks

I used the stock 32 style tank with my Dearborn Deuce. I did one for a customer that used a Stainless tank designed to fit in the recess under where the top rests. I got it from The Roadster Shop.

My roadster is an American Speed 33 body. The same guy, Mark Trostle, dreamed up both cars selling off the DD to make the 33 body. On the Speed 33 website they offer this tank

The dimensions may not be the same but this one is built by rock valley so I would start with a call there if I were you. I put a 32 tank under my car for the sloe reason so I could put golf clubs in the trunk. otherwise this would have been my direction as well.

Thanks to Krylon32 and Bandit Billy, two good suggestions to look into.

I always thought the Bob Morris roadster had the nicest in-trunk gas tank.

Golf courses are a good place to land the plane when the engine quits. That Morris tank sure looks nice but I don't want to spend more on the tank than the car.
