Yep , you guys heard right, The government has killed the project car and cool original parts, San diego county inspecters are going house by house inspecting peoples back yards for any old vehicles, bodys, car parts, engines, the stuff must be inside a building, and you must show proof of permits for that building. I am talking rural areas, not just in the city. If you don't remove the stuff, you get a 20,000 dlls fine, and they come in and crush the stuff and charge you for doing it. For you to have a vehicle on your property, it must be registered and run and drive. Over seas containers must be removed, any way me and four other friends got busted and I have ten more days to get rid of my stuff, so it is harvest time at the Rust Ranch, if any body needs 28-51 ford parts , give me a call at 619-573-2637. If I remember when they were crushing model T's and A's in the sixties, there was a heritage law passed that protected these vehicles, what happen to this law ? if any body has some info , please post it. For years Ihave sold cheap ford bodys, If me or anybody else has to pay indoor storage for these bodys and parts , imagine what the prices will be. The problem is that greedy devolpers have gone to the country side and built expensive homes on rural land. I guess they get to decide what you have on your property, and the goverment is playing right along , charging fines and twisting your arm into buying the piece of shit new cars, so they can charge you more regitration fees. I am sorry for saying this, but it seems this goverment has turned comunist, and only serves them selves and their huge buracricie and special intrest groups.

Why be sorry for stating the facts? If we choose to bury our heads in the sand, we get the government we deserve...

  3. magoozi do you have your parts listed some where?

  4. Man that sucks! Hopefully you can sell off your stuff without totally losing your ass on it all.

at the risk of being political and getting the thread shut down, when did we start working for government as opposed to the other way around?

Can you research and post the details of the law or ordinance that empowers the officials to do this? A call to an attorney notifying him that you believe your property rights are being violated might be advisable. It certainly sounds like flagrant abuse of property rights.

Are they citing a code? I think if you want fight you should get a laywer. I believe somebody has beat it down in San Deigo already by being givin a pass, something about grandfathering in and no code that you fall under. The County/city settled out of court tho as not to set a precidence. I would check.

  14. You guys to the south of us have a Constitution, use it!

I think the 5th Amendment covers this situation:

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

  15. What we need is a powerful national lobby for auto enthusiasts like the NRA,AARP and so on. It's just going to get worse with the government wanting to micromanage every facet of our lives. Good to see another American has awakened to what's going on. Nov. 2nd can't come soon enough!

    Man that sucks :(

That's why I'm glad I live in my little rural, unincorporated neighborhood in Creek County Oklahoma. Everybody out here has some old cars in the yard they are working on.

Fuck that get your buddies and line up in your drive way with the other "Iron" they are more afraid of!

got an end loader? either dig holes 4' wide and 6' long and 6' deep and put their names on the rock at the head of the hole..

or dig the holes bigger and line them with plastic and lay the car bodies in those holes..either way, time to bury some bodies

Ya better fight..because this is just the beginning, and if you lay down..the sweep will be next

If a car has no registration, doesn't it cease to be a car, and just become a piece or pile of metal?

Is there a law saying 'no pieces of metal in your yard' now???

It's called SEMA and you should join it:

    http://www.semasan.com/main/main.aspx?ID=/content/SEMASANcom/HomePage

SEMA has been fighting these "abandoned car" laws, as well as fighting muffler and exhaust system laws, promoting street rod registration categories, etc.

I thought SEMA was helping with legislation to save the historic recycling of automobiles. SEMA may have some legal forum that could help you. An attorney that's a hot rodder could help too. Maybe a call to Jay Leno? Put a sign in your front yard that reads 'Honk if you hate nosey neighbors' it will keep the neighbors up all night and they will wish all they had to hear was a rusting old car! tnrotter

I'm still paying off a $2,500.00 "Code Enforcement Cost of Enforcement" fine even after I came into County compliance.

The consitiution is supposed to protect Life LIBERTY and the Pursuit of Happiness.

It is also supposed to protect us against unlawfull search and seizure.

The problem is that the County Board of Supervisors make it unlawful to store your belongings out doors.

Here if you live on less than an acre you are allowed 100 square feet of outside storage 3 feet high.

If you live on more than an acre, even a million acres you are allowed 200 square feet of outside storage 3 feet high.

My question is if they can legally limit you to 1 or 2 hundred square feet then what keeps them from limiting you to 1 or 2 square inches of outside storage.

Every part of our government agencies need to be overhauled.

We need to Chop, Channel and Lower them all and replace all of the faulty parts (the people who have apointed themselves as the New Royalty).

When I was growing up in the 40s and 50s they were public servants.

Now we are the servants of the government.

The problem is that in this case the Servants pay the Masters.

We all have to keep track of the perpetrators that vote for these laws that take away our LIBERTIES and limit out Persuit of Happiness.

This is not PROGRESS but returning back to where we started with King George and a Ruling Class telling the colonies what they could and could not do.

Novenber 2nd cannot come soon enough for me.

If they see you complying than they will steam roll you..

go fang tooth and nail at them and at least make them earn it.
they just want to push compliant people..because its easy and they are lazy..make them work for it..you will see how fast it dies..

they dont have the money or resources to fight it any more..their loss of revinue cripples their abilities...push em and push em hard..make them work at it..slow them down..have every one you know with this same issue put up law suits pushing for their property rights and go for a court date..
They will fold like the cheap suits they are
