my brother stopped by this morning and we bled the brakes,i fired it up to see what it sounded like outside of the basement,still loud.

 

then i figured,fuck it ,lets see what it'll do. (this is the first time its moved under its own power

it was about 9:30 or so,hahaha

 

What do you mean "See what it would do"? I don't see how it would do anything, other than smoke the tires off. No more weight than you have there, It oughta be like Driving on ice...

 

it ran good,but of course,i still need alot of stuff to do to make it roadworthy...

 

and OF COURSE i had to "see what it'd DO!" hahaha

when i first pulled out i floored it and it didnt seem like it wanted to go,but the engine was reving hi,then i realized its cuz the wheels(ok wheel) were spinning

Did you put a big duration Cam in that thing? That would sound wild with a slobbering Cam in it. And no heavier than it is, it wouldn't hurt you too bad on the low end.

 

,and by the time of the last pic i figured we better put it away before the cops show up,hahaa

 

other than the headers,the engine is totally stock.i may just leave it that way for a while

Cool....are you gonna put baffles in the headers? My buddy, John has VW baffles in his with a cammed up sbc and it sounds like a top alcohol dragster, only quieter...

 

The little hauler is looking great Butt. I wish I could get a wakeup call like that.

Rocky,thats a great idea about the vw baffles.i was looking at motorcycle baffles,but they are real pricey.(like 60 bux a piece x 8 = ouch!)

well,its been a while,guess i can take it out for another spin,hahahaha

Nice truck. VW baffles should cost you about $3 each from JC Whitney. Eyeball as a good how to on his site too.
