The thought has haunted me for a while and since my Truck engine machine work is still in process and I have some idle time. I finally last night removed the six-two setup and placed on some of the blower stuff I have gathered up and ran over to a friends house and borrowed two different injectors and misc stuff for a look see.......It really makes a statement..But would really tax the 10'' slicks to do their jobs and probably make for a real hairy greasy dart like smokey trip down the 1320......I also mocked up my eight-two setup for the first time, it looked killer as well but did not take a photo as of yet.....something about them dam carbs I love so much thou..

Quick update on the Truck......the new SBC will be dynoed by Ross racing engines when they are done w/ it......It will first be run w/ a four barrel setup and optimised then switched out to the six-twos and run.........This will give us the real info HP and Torque #'s I have alway's wondered about and will allow the converter to be setup correctly.......actually how much HP am I giving up running them six antique carbs.......I am cannot wait for this info !....will be cool..it actually would make a great article material.............Littleman

Yeah I think the 6 or 8 carbs looks a ton better then the blower on you particular app but who cares because it's all about making power and which ever one satisfies the need is the right choice. I think that thing is just about perfect with a 8x2 and the 10" slicks but like you said, could be a smokey ride!!

I just had a 265 Chevy built and I am running a '59 Corvette 4bbl intake until everything is tuned in then I'll make the switch over to the 4x2 Weiand.

    Cool update!!!
