Technical decode my canadian mercury

looking for info to decode my 1950 mercury i bought out of B.C! plate on firewall reads ENGINE OCB-3188 TRIM AB PAINT 54 MDL OO72 I have the ***le in my name so i won't post sn. thanks.

thanks! on the engine decode 0bc 0 is 1950 b is 255" flathead 3spd 10
' clutch but the B is a mystery still? Overdrive maybe?

I just looked up the ****** overdrive ***embly in my 49-54 canadian mercury monarch ch***is parts book and ends with a B, so you could be right . Non overdrive trans part number end with an A. The part # goes like this, @C8M 7000-B . @ - Used to serial #H51-22040 . Hope this helps

 

thanks! trying to figure out rear end ratio of my car yesterday and a rattlesnake has moved in so crawling anywhere around car was not a option to read markings on rear axle. might have 4:27 gears and that's coming out.
