I know it's not a big deal to some guys but I decoded the Vin on my 62 F100. I have no problem decoding o/t vins but this was my first try on an older vehicle.

    F10CR*****

F10 is the series meaning F100 (obviously)
C is the Engine code- 292
R is the Assembly Plant - San Jose (truck has been pretty much local all of its life)
***** is the serial number (this truck was built in June of 1962)
    Color T - Sandshell Beige
Transmission Code G - Heavy Duty Cruise O Matic 3 Speed
Axle Code 11 - Ford 9 Inch with 3.70 gearing

The only way I was able to do this was with the help of the factory shop manual. I tried searching the web but couldn't come up with anything for 62 that was complete.

I just purchased a 1962 F100 and on the door plate i retreived what I think is a vin#F10JH432089 But the title says C2TF10000K. Which is correct or is this a bad title.

54 intl, your original vin is the F1O..... number. the other one might be a replacement id tag or something...
