Cool is in the eye of the beholder So far I think each car pictured on this post is cool for its own reasons But then thats just my "Subjective Opinion!" (Anyone who posts to a message board should know what that means! If you dont Look it up!)
There is no definition of cool because every one has their own idea of what's cool. I think flatheads and bangers are cool, but my "street rodder" friends think they're ****. Yeah, I know, I gotta find new friends. I just found a turning Model B engine I can get. Guess I wont be cool any more, hang on, maybe I never was..... oh, I'm so confused....
What turns YOU on, what blows YOUR hair back..standing back and admiring your own work that you have sweat and bled over, giving other people credit and respect for what they've done..Oh and that Hemi-powered coupe on page one, and the Avanti I just bought, and and...
Cool, Cool is just something that happens, yet anyone can make it happen. Cool is far from hip, hip is just a trend. Cool lasts forever. In my day, Ninja Turtles were 'hip', not cool. Now, something like the Outlaw, is 'cool' something that has standed the test of time, and still brings smiles to peoples faces. Also in my book anything with an Olds V8 is pretty cool too, I've got a '29 A with a 303, a 94 Chevy Pickup with a 425, and am working on getting a '57 ford to put a 394 in. But that's just what I think is cool, you might like Flatties, or TPI Aluminium Small Blocks, or somethin.
Cool,......All the education my old man gave me by lettin me WATCH him wrench on the cars when I was little, walking me thru my 1st tune up at age 10, and talkin me outa makin a livin being an Auto Mech. His take on this was "If you love these cars as much as I DID, then don't make a livin workin on them, and it will be the best damn hobby you'll ever have. My 9yr old son diggin cars. Oh yea.......... Wolfman Jack.
You can't buy cool !!!.....-if that's what you are getting at. You either know how to build it yourself or you don't have it in you. Some people have it, some people never will.
Slash, not Axl.... James Hetfield, not Dave Mustain, Johnny Cash not Jon Denver. Beat down ol hotrod, not a patina filled brookeville roadster, an old leather jacket, not "distressed leather". That body hammer that just fits right in your hand. I guess its just things that seem to have" soul"
