I have a Delco M16-109 Ignition cable tester. It is complete in very nice shape. I need to know what size battery and voltage this tool uses. The space where the battery goes is not a standard AAA, AA, or C size. The instructions do not mention a battery. Does anybody know what size and voltage battery powers this tool. Thank you

uh...you want us to identify the battery, and you don't show us where the battery has to fit? :) (with dimensions)

60 years ago I had a small Sears dwell meter that took an odd battery, might have been the Everready 1013 (?), those are long obsolete. Depending on the age of your meter you may be out of luck.

The problem is 2 prong. The first prong is the size, yes I can post a picture of the battery compartment and someone can look at a chart and say this battery fits. But the more important info is the battery voltage. What voltage is the meter calibrated for to read the proper resistance in the ignition cable. I was hoping to find someone with a working meter that has a battery with it and can tell me the application. TIA

    That's a museum piece.

Modern equipment exists. Check with aircraft suppliers.

It is not like this is a distributor advance curving machine, and nothing new has a distributor anymore, and has not in years.

Did you look closely in the battery compartment to see if it tells you what battery to use?

That looks like a nice piece. I'm trying to remember if I ever needed an ignition wire tester.
