    Good stuff! I remember this roadster from a magazine (R&C Annual?) sporting the Willys engine and a very cool, diagonal direction (V) grille insert. Maybe owned by Don Orosco?

    I cringe when I see guys pull these old motors out for scrap. One day, the only place you'll see them is in museums (and high $$$$ hot rods.) And you'll have to pay just to see them!

    That Olds intake is the bomb!

    Mel still has all the parts that were original to the roadster as it was in the 40's. He still has the original grill and deck that you were talking about, which is going back on it when he gets done. As you can see he just likes putting oddball stuff together.
