I know the difference between a 64 & 65. The 65s were the first year of the vertical headlights, to make room for a bigger, sweeter grill. I dont think I should be barred from trying to sell this because of one year, especially when one of your advertisers (Cherry Bomb) has a 1965 Cadillac project car.

The cutoff is 64. If we let people run 65 because it's "only one year" then the people with 66's will use the same complaint.

It's no fun but we had to draw the line somewhere.

Also, the system isn't perfect. If you're the sort of person who requires a perfect system and a fair world, the internet as a whole is going to be a problem for you.

I thought the old rules were you had to post 100 times before you could USE the Cl***ifieds to sell stuff. Did I misunderstand that or has it changed ?

 

That was the old rule, or maybe it was ten, dunno.

We dumped that one because we have enough to do around here and just because a dude doesn't have ten/100 posts doesn't mean they don't have something to share or a cool item to offer up to someone who can better care for it.

I guess we decided to rely on common sense.

I'll admit, it can be confusing. We mostly police the cl***ifieds from responding to reported posts. There are quite a few ads that don't "fit" and they get through because no one reports them. And that's OKAY. Typically they are not reported because the poster is well known in the community or the car is one of the cl***ic customs like newer T-birds or Riviera's. Life's not fair, ask my Mom, she's told me a thousand times.
