I posted a picture of 2 cars on my trailer that I bought on my annual western parts hunting trip and that I would be selling them in the future but not yet. Over the years I've seen many post pictures of cars they'd just bought and were planning on selling later. It certainly wasn't that the cars were too new as the newest was a 51

wasn't me, but we do not allow buying and selling on the main board. that is what the cl***ifieds is for. If your thread was about some cars that are or will be for sale then that is probably why it was deleted...

Over the past 20 yrs I've seen many posts where someone just found and bought something Hamb related and stated that it would be for sale later

  8. Did anyone ever tell you that life was fair, or the HAMB had perfectly and equally applied rules and standards? Well they lied to you.
Yet we all kinda dig them both even still right? nothing else like either one.

I believe I have a “FAN” or two here that report things I post just because. And before you know it - **** it’s gone. Along with the time and efforts too. Probably makes them happy in some strange ways.

bottom line is some threads get reported and some do not, there are very few mods here and we do not look at every thread for rule infractions. If you knowingly post something that is off topic chances are someone will report it and we will take action

I never claimed unfairness just asking for an explanation. Something like deletions shouldn't be done just because someone gets a hair crossways in their ***

I don’t recall your post - but since it is topic of discussion, I’ll look for it and review in more detail.

    I found it......

You Shared that you bought two cars and would be putting a price on them soon.

So in essence you said they would be for sale on the main HAMB board.

So that’s why it was deleted.

I see you’ve reposted with out any discussion of selling them so it shouldn’t get deleted now.

    Thanks,
    Moderator

Minor correction - ( correction - not bought at a swap meet )

I hear you, I'm in the same boat from time to time, obviously our friend hasn't had too many threads deleted or locked in the past, I learned a long time ago not to complain about a deleted thread unless I was dead sure it had merit, most deleted threads are generally off topic. HRP

  16. Not always the moderator being a ****head. If somebody hits the report ****on enough, they have to do something about it.

Also, instead of publicly dragging mystery moderation decisions, you can always PM a mod for more info. I've found @Moriarity to be a very accessible resource via PM for such things that don't require (or benefit from) public discourse.

I didn't buy them at a swap meet or even in the same state, but the rest is correct.

For others I've been here longer than any of you that posted on this and I've never had a post deleted in the past. Why should a question about a deletion be hidden from the rest. I wasn't raising hell about it just asking for an explanation. The answer provides a guideline for others that might read it
If a question produces some heat than maybe the heat is deserved. The explanation I received is fine with me I understand. I may not agree 100% but than how many times does everyone agree on something

Well officially you have been here longer than your previous post. By about 5 hours. That’s almost a lifetime for a Mayfly. Just showing perspective;) :)
