How does one delete a partial (or full, for that matter) Reply once it is typed, but not Posted? Had second thoughts about a Reply I was making to someone's post, and wanted to clear the Reply box. But it doesn't stay cleared. If I exit out and then go back to that same post, my Reply window still has the initial draft in it; although it is in lighter or grayed color.
Can you go ahead and post it and then delete it? There should be a delete option down at the bottom. Might not be one if you're using a phone app, not sure.
***uming it is from a PC.... Left click your mouse and hold down the ****on over the words or sentences you want deleted, they will be Hi-Lighted......then right click and a menu will drop down......... click delete. If it is from a APP - not sure, as there are different APPs.
OK, I tried doing the last suggestion in this message thread, but the Reply window still had what I had typed before. So, I posted the Reply, then Deleted it right away. Kind of a curious fix, but looks like that will work. Thanks gatz
Or... Place your cursor in the the field where you've typed you message. From your keyboard type Ctrl+A to select the entire message. Hit the Backspace ****on to erase the selected text.
