I've been checking out everything I can find that involves old supercharger setups.
I recently stumbled on to some images of a blower front cover and a timing cover/ crank support that have the name "DELTA"
    cast into them.
Anyone got any info, history, or pictures of DELTA performance parts or blower parts?
Any other odd duck blower set ups?

  2. Try searching for "Delta Machine Co."

PBRmeASAP, The idler isn't fixed, it rotates around the mounting boss/post to adjust the belt tension.
Here is a little beter picture of the housing and adjuster.

  6. but the length of it and the length of the snout would make a difference. Size of the blower 4-71, 6-71, or 8-71 will effect the snouth length.

I get it now...........brain fade on my part. The snout length would make a difference.
Time frame of the part would probably make the part for a 4-71 or a 6-71, guessing 6-71. But the length would still vary from one engine to another.

Gary, you wouldn't have any detail shots of the upper pulley attachment or the drive coupling under the front cover? The different ways the early drives transfered the power from the upper pulley to the blower iterests me, there was a lot less commonality between manufacturers than there is now.

Correct, as in they are removed going counter clockwise. Good chance they have some Locktite on them.

    Edit: oops right hand.

Yep, that looks like a Pete's Eng. drive. I'd think it should say Pete's between the ribs on the idler arm and have a riveted tag on top. They looked similar to Delta but had a fixed pulley hub.

  20. Theres a Delta Cam in tacoma wa, but dont think they do anything but cams

Its a whole lot simpler and easier to replicate than the modern splined two piece couplers.

well, if you do, spare parts are good to have !! and maybe with the "back the motor up" nut as a part of the shaft, not welded on as mine is....

I don't know if this may be a clue, but here is Howard Johansen's personal jacket - one of allegedly about four made that had 'Delta Machine' embroidered on them.
