We then headed inside the vendor building looking for my good pal Bernie AKA Lowcab's booth. Chatted with him for quite a while while Megan and I both decidedd what we wanted....
L2R, Lowcab, Megan, Mike Rouse and me
Mike, it was wonderful meeting you. Thanks so much for introducing yourself to me.

and helped Chris and Jamie with their purchase decision:D
    [IMG]

Megan picked out a piece that matched her toenails:rolleyes:

I picked out an extremely tasteful piece that will look killer on my new kitchen wall. I'd like to thank Bernie for not only creating such awesome artwork but for pricing it such that the average person can afford a piece or two.

Bought these two little pieces as well
    [IMG]

I'd also like to thank you for the very special pencil drawing of Big Olds. I LOVE it and will frame it and hang it in a very special place.

We then headed back outside and ran into Kevin AKA Doc.'s new chopped and sectioned '40. I didn't get any closer to it at this point cuz Evel was inside filming the original builders stories. Veru cool piece of east coast history.

GMan's cool custom. It's been neat watching this build progress thru the years here on the HAMB and in person at the different RoundUp's
    [IMG]

We then ran into Hot Rodeo Ed in the swap meet area who has a habit of dropping his draws to show us his panties. He still had his easter ones on from the previous weekend.

Found some treasures. Talked BenD into hauling them back for me. Spent some time hanging out and chatting with everyone in that area then decided to head back to the hotel and clean up for dinner.

Since it was late in the day we saw John and his lovely wife on the road. Boy his ride looks even better, if that's possible, cruzn down the highway.

This might shock some, since I don't do Mexican, BUT the boys from the Scorpion team invite me and Megan to join them for a Mexican dinner on Friday night. At first I politely declined, they then insisted, promising me there will be SOMETHING on the menu that I would like. I finally agreed thinking that if I didn't find anything I like I could always just drink and then get a slice of HomeSlice pizza later. Well low and behold they had BBQ on the menu there so while everyone else had a Mexican dinner I had a delicious BBQ sandwich with tastey fries. :D Forgot to take a photo of what was a very enjoyable and memoriable evening but some of my favorite Texas buds. Thanks sweetieS for dinner, the AWESOME margaritas, and the wonderful conversation.:D

Megan and I then dropped the Corvette back off in our hotel parking lot and low and behold there was the most AWESOME bomb sitting there. I had never seen it before. Come to find out he's a Beatnik and HAMB memeber Studhud outta California. Nice meeting you and your girl. I really enjoyed sitting next to you during dinner on Saturday night and getting to know ya better. Looking forward to seeing you both again sometime this summer.

We then headed down to Congress to see what kind of trouble we could find and ran smack dap into Hot Rodeo Ed who still had his pants up.

Shortly thereafter we ran into two of the most awesome young guys, Ben's and Brian's sons. Anyone who thinks there are no young guns to carry on the traditional torch have yet to meet these two wonderful young persons and their siblings. I'm proud to call both families good friends.

So as we're talking to the boys this guy walks up and asks if I'm Denise. My reply is always the same when I'm aksed this...."depends on who's asking":D He introduces himself as Grits and we proceed to have a long and indepth conversation. I'm sure everyone has felt this from time to time when you meet someone in person for the first time, that sometime you just click, like right off the bat, and ya end up feeling like you've know the person forever. Gary and I clicked like that. It was WONDERFUL meeting you sweetie. Looking forward to us hanging out again in the near future.

When we were all standing there chatting our very good pal Big Ken joined us. GREAT seeing you again sweetheart. See ya at the HAMB Drags. xoxoxox
Big Ken, Megan, Gary AKA: Grits, Denise, and Eddy AKA: 214Gearjammer (wonderful meeting you as well)

Made our way up one side of Congress and back down the other.
Gary Chopit's truck was parked in front of the Continental Club

We then headed to Doc's for cocktails with the Beatniks, closed that place then headed back up the street and into the Continental Club and closed that. Yikes, it's been awhile since I've done that. Those dudes in the purple shirts sure know how to not only drink but to make sure everyone else is holding their own. Thanks boys for showing us ladies such a wonderful time.:D

So Saturday morning roll around and it was alittle rough for the both of us. made it down to the fairgrounds and started checking out more cars knowing that yesterday we didn't even check out anything in the two lower lots. We checked more cars on teh hill as we headed down.

My favorite truck at the show. Might have something to do with the boys at the Hatfield shop are just so darn nice. Seems we keep running into them all over the country the last couple of months. Wish I was going to be in town for their upcoming open house. I would LOVE to check out their shop.

So by now it's almost time for the Meet & Greet so we start headin over to where earlier we had hung the HAMB M&G banner and a few of the boys had gotten a picnic table for us.

I had brought 100 name tags and 100 very special Meet & Greet stickers that were made in Casey Colin's honor. I'd like to thank Larry, AKA OldBobSign for making them. They really meant alot to folks.

There were over 100 people that showed up as I ran outta both. I'd like to personally acknowledge Chris from Spokane who had a Casey sticker but when one of Colin's very good buds arrived late and I didn't have any left Chris offered Colin's pal his stating that even though he knew who Colin was and liked his posts on the HAMB he felt the sticker would mean more to Colin's pal then himself. I tip my hat to Chris, he's a standup guy who always thinks of others first. I proud to call him a good friend.

It's nice to see peeps introducing themselves to others and mindling

Glad to see Spoons and his lovely wife made it all the way from Ohio even after their buddy had trouble on the road
    [IMG]

The close to 1pm we got the crazier it got. The area was PACKED
    [IMG]

Doc. handed out raffle tickets to one and all for a $500 cash drawing
    [IMG]

Before DOC had a young boy draw out the winning ticket we did the Hokey Ass Group Shot. Special thanks to John, Not Stock Photos for taking the awesome group shots.

On the way to get some lunch (BBQ of course):D I stopped and listened to the boys in High School Ceasar who when playing at larger venues and have a horn section, are called Big Daddy. The dude on the drums is SO HOT!

While standing in the lunch line, which was painfully long, this cutie pie and his lovely wife came up and introduced themselves. We had a very nice chat. Sorry I can't remember his HAMB name.

After lunch I hooked back up with Megan and we headed over to the other parking lots to check out the rest of the cars

Oh, well that makes it easier. Everyone knows guys don't hold grudges nearly as long as girls. Just rub on him a little and he'll be fine.
