The last guest has just left and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the Gay Michigan *****es, and the other "normal" HAMB folks, for coming. Per usual, you guys kept us all in s***ches with your antics. I treasure our friendships and look forward to the next time we can all hang out together. A special thanks goes out to Jdubbya for the "lei".
What a fun trip that live HAMB was... and I'm watching from Work! Thanks for including us, and Cheers, Denise!
My bride and I just rolled in a few minutes ago and after being mauled by the dog sat down to put a few thoughts out.Thank heaven for Tim Hortons! I really didn't feel like making a pot tonight. What can I say? The food was out of this world(especially the killer water chestnuts mit bacon baggies)and the conversation was greater.Met some new folks and saw some old ones. The fashion show was fun and I think everyone had a great time.Sorry to those who couldn't make it. I'm just trying to figure out now how I'm going to get up in 3 hours and get ready for the panel jam.Screw it I think I'll just stay up.Maybe hit the garage and do some more painting,or maybe I'll reset the choke on the Safari for winter cruising.I think it's running a little fat.I'm glad I have an understanding wife.Goodnight all and a special thanks to Denise for a fantastic time! Ray
[ QUOTE ] Let's atleast keep all of this on one thread please... Thanks, [/ QUOTE ] .......Ryan.........NOW I know why you didn't want TLC to pick up on the HAMB........

What can I say...good times! I apologize for the "man-****ies," I was just sending some "gay-michigan-love" out to those of you who couldn't make it. Great to meet even more people, and I am glad that the Gay *****es have reached out to the windy city and has "infected" PeterPanof Chicago....work it girl!. Thanks for a GREAT Time Denise -Joe
My only regret is that I drank 3 cokes, and couldn't sleep til after 4!!! That was a blast, even Vanessa said she had fun too, Thanks to Michigan Ricks and Rays wives!!! Can't wait til autorama now! Jay
What's in the firewater up there? Just more proof that all Michiganites are gay ! Looks like you guys had a good time.
As originator of The Gay *****es of Michigan, I'm really sorry I couldn't attend the first real "meeting". But I'm glad it was do***ented with names and photographs. Now we have proof of our membership!
I know you guys won't believe this... but there wasn't much drinkin' at all goin on.... We were all sober!!! Even though I was hangin out with a bunch of OLD farts, I had a blast!!! To those of you I'd never met, it was good to meet you! To the rest of you, it was great to see ya again! Only complaint of the night: sometime while I was letting my truck warm up for the trip home, the blower motor died!!! The hour and a half drive home with NO heat was NOT fun! Good thing I got to see all those ****ies to warm me up before I left!
[ QUOTE ] I know you guys won't believe this... but there wasn't much drinkin' at all goin on.... We were all sober!!! Even though I was hangin out with a bunch of OLD farts, I had a blast!!! [/ QUOTE ] That's because old farts have learned you can act stupid sober, and know who to avoid the next day. Had a blast Denise, thanks for teaching HotRodGirl to cook You really made her day. She chattered about it all the way home, until she finally fell asleep after we crossed into Ohio. My buddy "Derrick" wants to learn how to get online now. I even found something worth buying at the swap meet. It was a great day
I was wondering though... what happened to the post about Denises New Years resolution?!?!? That was pretty funny stuff, and I can't find it anywhere!
It was fun............ My jaw still hurts from laughin! I was being good and only brought a few beers. Saving myself for the hour and a half drive home. Thanks PP of Chicago for not drinking yours so I could! The road got longer on the way back. Good to put faces to all of you. Sorry you had to come out of the closet but that closet has got to be full. Everytime you turn around someone else is "coming" out. My lovely bride also had a great time but still thinks car people are nuts! Hope to see everyone at Kalamazoo in Feb. Or Autorama if we get back from the Resto show in time in Indy. Spreadin the love........... Michigan Rick
Wish I could have been there! The pics are great and Fat Hack really has me worried with that pink bike. Hey Hack, Baby's Mama has an Elctra Betty. It has pink on it. Wanna take it for a ride?
I'm just starting to catch up here, last night ended up being a late night even though I left early. Just wanted to say thanks to Denise for hosting a fun party for a bunch of hoodlums. It was great talking to everyone and great meeting the people I hadn't yet met.
Just when I thought the calendar stuffing party couldn't be topped you guys go and prove me wrong. I gave Denise some grief about never seeing her with her hair down and not wearing the cap all the time awhile ago. I see she took my advice, the last couple of times she has done just that. I'll take credit for it whether I deserve it or not. I hope someone got the HUG she was saving for me, it would be a shame for it to go to waste. Frank
[ QUOTE ] I know you guys won't believe this... but there wasn't much drinkin' at all goin on.... We were all sober!!! [/ QUOTE ] Now you tell me... Last night I was deciding between the Captain or Jagermeister... today the choices are Imodium or Advil. Is there going to be a party for the Autorama? The crew out here will be making the trek up. ...and I have a portable lampshade...

Can't wait til autorama now! Jay [/ QUOTE ] My bride had a great time also. She definitely needs to get out more!We stopped at Tim Horton's in Saline on the way home so I could get a coffee and recycle some of the fluids I'd been consuming. No bathroom!Had to hit an all night gas station. Got to sleep about 5 am and up at 7:30 am to go to the panel jam in Canton.Had a great time working with Peter Pan of Chicago,Unkl Ian, and Daddy-O.Painted a bunch of stuff and ate a little food and talked a blue streak with old and new friends.Forgot my camera but I know there were several going so some pics are bound to surface eventually.Rudy is going to send me some so I can write the stories for the magazines. Finally home and had another coffee and a burger I shared with my puppy. It's about 8:00pm and I feel like I've been shot at and missed and **** at and hit!Need to crash for a couple hours as this almost 60 year old body can't take too much more.TTYL Ray
Awww Man! What a great time I had in Michigan this weekend. Denise, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me to your shindig. I enjoyed every minute and really enjoyed the time spent with the Michigan crew. You guys and gals are a fantastic bunch. I really appreciated the instant friendship and humor. Oh the humor! I haven't laughed so much and seen so much comaraderie in a long, long time. I'll always treasure my induction into the "Gay Michigan *****es", Illinois auxillary. Thanks for letting me wear the much coveted "Medium Pimpin'" red coat. The induction rites didn't hurt as bad as Jdubbya said, although I did feel a little discomfort when sitting and bending over while striping at the Panel Jam today. I'll just use more salve. lol I'm looking forward to meeting you all in the near future. Safariknut, Thanks for the good times and the neat panel today. Your a gentleman and a cl*** act. Look for my pics from the weekend soon. To all my new HAMB friends in Michigan, Thanks again. Denise, Thank you again, your love and generosity will come back to you many times over. Joel
